Born
in North Carolina he studied at Black Mountain College, North
Carolina with the abstract painter Bolotowsky, with sculptor Zadkine
in Paris, and de Kooning, Stamos, Grippe and Greenbert in US.
He is a close friend of Morris Louis, and was also influenced
by Frankenthaler.
