Arthur Rackham RWS
1867-1939
He worked in an insurance office and atended evening classes at the Lambeth School of Art. Working as a magazine illustrator his reputation as a book illustrator grew especially with Grimms's Fairy Tales of 1900. He collaborated with JM Barrie on Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens and his watercolor landscapes were exhibited at the Royal Academy.
