is the King of Fairy Tales - he wrote nearly 200 of them including The Princess and the Pea, The Emperor's New Clothes, and The Little Mermaid. Most of his stories are on this site accompanied by artwork from the "official" Andersen artists - the Danish painters chosen by Andersen himself to illustrate his tales.

GRIMM FAIRY TALES
The Brothers Grimm were 2 Germans from the 19^th century - responsible for Cinderella, Tom Thumb and Hansel and Gretel, among others.
