Frederic Bazille
French Artist Bazille began medical studies in Montpellier and then Paris where he also took up painting studying alongside Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and Alfred Sisley. In 1864 he gave up medicine and took up painting full time. He died in 1870 before the Impressionism had been fully developed.
